Title 10 › Subtitle Subtitle E— Reserve Components › Part II— PERSONNEL GENERALLY › Chapter 1214— READY RESERVE MOBILIZATION INCOME INSURANCE › § 12525
Sets a basic monthly benefit of $1,000 for an insured member. A member can choose half that amount ($500) or one of eight larger monthly amounts from $1,500 up to $5,000 in $500 steps. If service is less than a month, pay is 1/30 of the monthly benefit times the number of days served. Each year the Secretary must adjust the listed amounts for inflation to keep buying power the same. After adjustment, amounts are rounded to the nearest $10, but amounts ending in $5 are rounded down to the next lower $10.
