Title 10 › Subtitle Subtitle A— General Military Law › Part II— PERSONNEL › Chapter 88— MILITARY FAMILY PROGRAMS AND MILITARY CHILD CARE › Subchapter II— MILITARY CHILD CARE › § 1793
The Secretary must set uniform parent fees for military childcare centers. Fees for children who attend regularly must be based on family income. The Secretary can let commanders, case by case, charge lower fees if the standard rates are not competitive with local civilian centers. For families with multiple children, each child after the first may be charged 85% of the normal fee. Child-care employees’ first child is free; extra children pay up to 85%. Families cannot get both discounts.
