Defines four terms used for military child care. Military child development center — a child-care facility on a base or on land run by the base commander, or any child-care place operated by a military department. Family home day care — paid, regular home-based child care provided by someone certified by the military department. Child care employee — a civilian DoD worker employed at a military child development center. Child care fee receipts — nonappropriated funds from fees service members pay for child care at those centers.
