Summary

The Secretary of the Air Force must make rules so officials can review the records of any active‑duty Space Force commissioned officer (not retired) at any time. The review decides if the officer must explain why they should stay on active duty. Reasons include poor job performance or failing to meet the qualifications set under section 20403, and misconduct, moral or professional failings, or if keeping the officer is clearly not in the national security interest. The rules must follow any limits the Secretary of Defense sets.
