Summary

The Secretary of Defense must authorize a U.S.-based NATO Joint Force Command and allow U.S. forces to participate. Department of Defense facilities, equipment, and already authorized DoD funds may be used to support it.

(a)The Secretary of Defense shall authorize the establishment of, and the participation by members of the armed forces in, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Joint Force Command (in this section referred to as the “Joint Force Command”), to be established in the United States.
(b)The Secretary may use facilities and equipment of the Department of Defense to support the Joint Force Command.
(c)Amounts authorized to be appropriated to the Department of Defense shall be available to carry out the purposes of this section.
