Summary

The Secretary in charge may give, free of charge, space and services on Department property to a military welfare society. Military welfare society means one of these four groups: Army Emergency Relief, Navy‑Marine Corps Relief, the Air Force Aid Society, Inc., and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance. Services mean things like lighting, heating and cooling, electricity, office furniture and equipment, phones and other IT (including installation and connectivity), and security systems and their installation.

(a)Authority To Provide Space and Services.—

The Secretary concerned may provide, without charge, space and services under the jurisdiction of that Secretary to a military welfare society.

(b)Definitions.—

In this section: (1)

(2)The term “services” includes lighting, heating, cooling, electricity, office furniture, office machines and equipment, telephone and other information technology services (including installation of lines and equipment, connectivity, and other associated services), and security systems (including installation and other associated expenses).
