§2566 Space and Services: Provision to Military Welfare Societies

Summary

The Secretary in charge may give free space and services under their control to certain military welfare societies: Army Emergency Relief; Navy‑Marine Corps Relief Society; Air Force Aid Society, Inc.; and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance. “Services” means things like utilities, office furniture and equipment, phone and IT services (including installation and connectivity), and security systems (including installation).

(a)The Secretary concerned may provide, without charge, space and services under the jurisdiction of that Secretary to a military welfare society.

(b)In this section:

(1)The term “military welfare society” means the following:

(A)The Army Emergency Relief Society.

(B)The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.

(C)The Air Force Aid Society, Inc.

(D)The Coast Guard Mutual Assistance.

(2)The term “services” includes lighting, heating, cooling, electricity, office furniture, office machines and equipment, telephone and other information technology services (including installation of lines and equipment, connectivity, and other associated services), and security systems (including installation and other associated expenses).
