The Secretary of Defense can accept, keep, manage, and use gifts given to help the Defense Intelligence College, including gifts of real estate. The Secretary may pay necessary costs tied to accepting a gift. Money or sale proceeds from those gifts must be deposited in the Treasury and can be spent only when the Secretary orders it and annual appropriation Acts allow. Subsection (c) of section 2601 applies the same way. A "gift" includes a bequest of personal property and a devise of real property.
