The program manager of a major defense acquisition program that already filed a unit cost report must immediately send a new unit cost report to the service acquisition executive (the official in charge of buying for that military service) if, during any quarter, they have reasonable cause to believe the program’s or a major subprogram’s unit cost or procurement cost rose by at least the significant cost growth threshold and no report showing that increase was already sent. The report must include the usual required information and show costs as of the report date.
