§5552 Biannual Briefing on Missile Defense and Related Activities

Summary

Requires that, on or about June 1 and December 1 each year, certain Defense officials must brief the Senate and House Armed Services Committees about missile defense policies, operations, technology development, and related topics the committees ask about. The officials are the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, the Director of the Missile Defense Agency, and the Director for Strategy, Plans, and Policy of the Joint Staff. Each official may have a Senior Executive Service member who reports to them give the briefing instead. The requirement ends on January 1, 2028.
