Title 10 › Subtitle Subtitle B— Army › Part III— TRAINING › Chapter 751— TRAINING GENERALLY › § 7402
Enlisted soldiers must be allowed to study and get instruction to improve their military skills and to prepare for jobs after they leave the Army, as long as it fits with military training and service and under rules the Secretary of the Army and the President approve. Training can include vocational classes in agriculture or the mechanic arts, and civilian teachers can help Army officers teach. Every post where soldiers are stationed must have schools that teach basic subjects, including United States history. The Secretary can assign soldiers to run the schools, and the post commander must provide a suitable room or building for school and religious use.
