The Secretary of the Navy may discharge an enlisted member who lied about their age and joined under the minimum allowed age. If discharged this way, the member gets pay and allowances, a fitting discharge certificate, and travel and meals from the place of discharge to their home. Funds already set aside for enlisted pay, subsistence, and travel can be used to pay these benefits.
