When a court-martial’s record, findings, and sentence are approved under this law, they are final. Orders that publish those proceedings and actions must be followed by all U.S. departments, courts, agencies, and officers, except for a petition for new trial under section 873 (article 73), action by the Secretary under section 874 (article 74), or the President’s authority.
