Title 12 › Chapter 11— FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANKS › § 1440a
The Director must give Federal Home Loan Banks reports, records, or other available information about any Bank’s financial condition. This lets each Bank check other Banks and the whole system and helps them meet their securities-law duties. The Director must create rules so Banks can share that information directly. A Bank can ask the Director to treat certain data as proprietary and keep it from being shared if the public interest requires. Sharing does not change securities-law duties or waive any legal privilege.
