Title 12 › Chapter 11— FEDERAL HOME LOAN BANKS › § 1442
Federal banking regulators (Treasury, the Comptroller, the Federal Reserve, the FDIC, the NCUA, and the Office of Thrift Supervision) must, when a Federal Home Loan Bank asks, share confidential reports and records about the condition of any Bank member or of institutions the Bank deals with. Those agencies may also, if asked, let their examiners or staff carry out confidential examinations of those institutions for the Bank’s use. As a condition of membership, every Federal Home Loan Bank member is treated as agreeing to allow the Bank or its Director to require exams, to let local, state, or federal exam reports be given to the Bank or Director on request, and to provide information the Bank or federal agencies need to make cost-of-funds indexes and other reports or summaries.
