Title 12 › Chapter 14— FEDERAL CREDIT UNIONS › Subchapter I— GENERAL PROVISIONS › § 1772a
The Board may accept money gifts, by will or otherwise, whether unconditional or conditional, to help carry out its duties. It must not accept a gift that requires spending more than the gift or its income unless the Board decides that covering the extra cost from fees (sections 1755 and 1756) or from appropriations (section 1766(f)(2)(C)) will not harm proper administration. Gifts must be deposited in the Treasury of the United States for the Administration and may be spent under section 1755 or as allowed above.
