Title 12 › Chapter 18— BANK SERVICE COMPANIES › § 1863
Even if sections 1864 and 1865 would otherwise apply, an insured depository institution may invest in a bank service company, and that company may do certain services only for depository institutions. These services include processing checks and deposits; calculating and posting interest, credits, and charges; preparing and mailing checks, statements, and notices; and other clerical, bookkeeping, accounting, or statistical tasks.
