A Farm Credit Insurance Fund is set up to guarantee that insured loans get paid on time for both principal and interest. The Corporation holds the Fund and must put all insurance premium payments it receives into it. Starting January 1, 1993, the Corporation must use the Fund as needed to guarantee timely payments on insured obligations, to retire eligible borrower stock at par value under section 2162, may use it to carry out section 2277a–10 and to pay operating costs, and must make any required payments and refunds under this part from the Fund.
