§2810 Disclosure by Secretary; Commencement, Scope, Etc.

Summary

Beginning with data for calendar year 1980, the Secretary must make public the information he has about any mortgage lender that is not already covered by this chapter or that is exempt under section 2805(b), and about lenders making loans exempted under section 2803(g). The information must cover loans insured under Titles I or II of the National Housing Act when those loans were approved or when completed applications were received, and it must be similar to the data lenders report under section 2803. For each lender, the disclosure for a given primary metropolitan statistical area, metropolitan statistical area, or consolidated metropolitan statistical area (when not made up of designated primary metro areas) must be available at the central data depository created under section 2803(f). The Secretary must also compile and publish summary data by census tract and tables showing overall lending patterns, like the information required under section 2809.
