Title 12 › Chapter 44— TRUTH IN SAVINGS › § 4304
The Bureau must make rules that change how annual percentage yield (APY) is shown when needed for certain accounts. The rules cover five kinds of accounts: ones where the APY is based on an interest rate guaranteed for less than 1 year, variable-rate accounts, accounts that by law do not promise a specific rate, accounts with more than one rate, and accounts where the APY is based on an annual rate guaranteed for a set term.
