The Director must run an ongoing study of fees that enterprises charge to guarantee mortgages. The Director must set rules for how enterprises send data, including the format and collection process. Each year the Director must send Congress a report using that year's combined data on fee amounts and the criteria enterprises used to set them. The report must cover seven items: factors used to set fees, total fee revenue and costs, average fee, yearly changes, and breakdowns by product/risk and by originator size and loan volume. The Director must not be required or allowed to publicly disclose confidential or proprietary information.
