Title 12 › Chapter 48— FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS REGULATORY IMPROVEMENT › § 4802
Require federal banking agencies to weigh the extra paperwork and costs that new reporting, disclosure, or other requirements would place on insured banks and their customers, including small banks, and compare those burdens to the benefits while keeping safety and the public interest in mind. Have those rules start on the first day of the calendar quarter that begins on or after the rule is published in final form, unless the agency publishes a good reason to start sooner, the Federal Reserve Board issues it for monetary policy, or another law sets a different start date. Anyone covered may comply early.
