Title 12 › Chapter 6A— EXPORT-IMPORT BANK OF THE UNITED STATES › Subchapter I— GENERAL PROVISIONS › § 635a–1
The President is allowed and asked to start high-level talks with other major exporting countries to stop predatory export financing and other export subsidies, including mixed credits, in other countries and in the United States. The President must report to Congress on progress before January 15, 1979. The Export-Import Bank of the United States may offer guarantees, insurance, and loans on rates, terms, and other conditions that the Bank’s Board of Directors believes will compete with the government-supported export credit programs of other nations.
