If the Bank loses money on loans, guarantees, or insurance, the Bank must cover the first $100,000,000. The Secretary of the Treasury must cover the next $100,000,000 using funds under section 635l, and the Bank pays any losses above $200,000,000. The Bank’s guarantees are backed by the U.S. government.
