Title 13 › Chapter 3— COLLECTION AND PUBLICATION OF STATISTICS › Subchapter II— OILSEEDS, NUTS, AND KERNELS; FATS, OILS, AND GREASES › § 61
The Secretary must collect, sort, and publish monthly numbers about vegetable oilseeds and their products and about animal and fish oils. The reports cover items like cottonseed, soybeans, peanuts, flaxseed, corn germ, copra, sesame, babassu, and other oilseeds, and show amounts received, crushed, made, shipped, and held at mills, processors, warehouses, and in transit. The reports also show how crude and refined vegetable, animal, and fish oils are used by big makers of shortening, margarine, soap, and similar products. The Secretary does not have to gather information more often than needed for reliable reports. Information from anyone who handles only tiny, unimportant amounts of fats or oils can be skipped.
