Title 14 › Subtitle SUBTITLE I— ESTABLISHMENT, POWERS, DUTIES, AND ADMINISTRATION › Chapter 1— ESTABLISHMENT AND DUTIES › § 107
When a change to a covered Coast Guard law adds, removes, or renames a section or a larger part, the law must also update the table of contents, analysis, or similar lists so they match the change. That update rule does not apply if the same amendment or a clerical fix passed at the same time already fixes the tables, or if the amendment says it does not apply. Covered Coast Guard law means: this title; any Coast Guard authorization act that provides funding for a fiscal year to the Coast Guard; and any other law that is specifically labeled as covered for this purpose.
