Title 14 › Subtitle SUBTITLE I— ESTABLISHMENT, POWERS, DUTIES, AND ADMINISTRATION › Chapter 11— ACQUISITIONS › Subchapter III— PROCUREMENT › § 1157
If a prime contractor gets extraordinary relief under the 1958 Act (Public Law 85–804; 50 U.S.C. 1432 et seq.) for a major acquisition, the Secretary must not consider any more requests from that same prime contractor for relief for that acquisition. Subcontractors are not affected. If relief is approved for Offshore Patrol Cutters, the Commandant must send a detailed report at least quarterly each fiscal year to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure describing the relief and the contractor’s compliance with required oversight.
