§3703 Coast Guard Reserve Boards

Summary
The Secretary must hold a Coast Guard Reserve Policy Board at least once each year to review Reserve policy, give recommendations, and report back to the Secretary, and at least half of the board members must be Reserve officers. The Secretary can also create any other Reserve boards they think are needed.

(a)The Secretary shall convene a Coast Guard Reserve Policy Board at least annually to consider, recommend, and report to the Secretary on Reserve policy matters. At least one-half of the members of the Board shall be Reserve officers.
(b)The Secretary may convene any other Reserve Board the Secretary considers necessary.
