The Coast Guard can use any motorboat, yacht, airplane, or radio station that Auxiliary members, companies, or state or local governments put at its disposal to help perform its duties when the Secretary allows it. It can also use motor vehicles (see 49 U.S.C. 30102 for the definition) provided by those same people or groups to tow Federal Government property.
