Title 15 › Chapter 19— MISCELLANEOUS › § 1003
People allowed to cross the Golden Gate Bridge for free must show and give an authorization at the toll lanes. Those authorizations will be issued and signed by military or naval officers chosen by the Secretary of the Army or the Secretary of the Navy under rules they set. The list of those officers and their signatures will be given to the Golden Gate Bridge and Highway District, which will accept those authorizations as proof. The District can also accept other ways of proving the right to cross free, and the Secretaries and the District may make agreements to set up and run those methods.
