Title 15 › Chapter 21— NATIONAL POLICY ON EMPLOYMENT AND PRODUCTIVITY › § 1022b
Require the President’s Economic Report to include an analysis that helps set short- and medium-term goals for jobs, production, real income, and prices. The analysis must explain how each goal should be built and how total national output should be split among major parts of the economy (private investment, consumer spending, and government spending), considering income flows and other factors, to support balanced growth, a balanced Federal budget, and the aims of the Full Employment and Balanced Growth Act of 1978. When choosing ways to reduce unemployment and keep prices reasonably stable, pick methods that support each other whenever practicable.
