Title 15 › Chapter 40— DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE › § 1518
The Secretary of Commerce must manage the library, furniture, fixtures, records, and other property in buildings used by the Department of Commerce. The Secretary may spend the amounts Congress provides from time to time for periodicals, library needs, renting suitable space for the Department in the District of Columbia, and other incidental expenses. Any office, bureau, or branch moved into the Department that is renting space may keep using that space until other suitable quarters are provided. All officers, clerks, and employees who worked in those transferred bureaus on February 14, 1903, are moved into the Department too, unless another law says otherwise. Laws that define the duties of those transferred units stay in effect unless they conflict with this Act.
