Title 15 › Chapter 50— CONSUMER PRODUCT WARRANTIES › § 2309
When the Commission makes rules under this chapter, it must follow section 553 of title 5. The Commission must let people give oral presentations as well as written comments and must keep a transcript of those talks. Courts may review these rules under section 57a(e) the same way they review rules under section 57a(a)(1)(B), except section 57a(e)(3)(B) does not apply. The Commission had to start, within one year after January 4, 1975, a rulemaking about warranties and warranty practices for used motor vehicles and must issue any rules needed to add consumer protections. The Commission may use any power it has under this chapter or other laws and may require a clear notice if a used vehicle is sold without a warranty, including the exact form and wording of that notice.
