Title 15 › Chapter 7— NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS AND TECHNOLOGY › § 272a
The Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology must help small and medium-sized U.S. manufacturers use technology better. The Director must work with states and local governments to spread reference materials, data, calibrations, and other technical help to businesses; review inventions from small firms or individuals that could boost competitiveness; support workshops and share Malcolm Baldrige program findings; and coordinate with other federal agencies to assist states and businesses.
