Title 15 › Chapter 62— CONDOMINIUM AND COOPERATIVE CONVERSION PROTECTION AND ABUSE RELIEF › § 3610
States and local governments can make and enforce laws about condominiums, cooperatives, or conversion projects as long as those laws do not conflict with the chapter’s consumer-protection rules. If a state or local government, within three years after October 8, 1980, passed a law saying the chapter does not apply there, then the chapter’s provisions do not apply in that area—except for section 3608 and the lease-related ban in section 3609 when a claim can be made under section 3608.
