Title 15 › Chapter 63— TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION › § 3704a
Creates a Clearinghouse inside the Office of Productivity, Technology, and Innovation. It will be the main place to collect and share information about state and local programs that try to help U.S. businesses by improving productivity, technology, and innovation, and about federal help for those programs. The Clearinghouse can work with state, local, and regional governments; gather and publish information about what programs do and how well they work; share that information in reports, directories, handbooks, conferences, and seminars; give technical advice and point to federal funding sources; study how federal agencies and labs can help; recommend federal policy changes; develop ways to evaluate programs and advise on which work best; and use and share the nationwide study of State industrial extension programs. The Secretary may hire contractors to collect information.
