Title 15 › Chapter 12— DISCRIMINATION AGAINST FARMERS’ COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATIONS BY BOARDS OF TRADE › § 432
Trading boards that buy, sell, or handle farm products across state lines must allow an authorized representative of a lawfully formed cooperative of producers to join and use the board, as long as the cooperative is mostly made up of producers, is financially responsible, and follows (or agrees to follow) the same rules as other members. A board’s rules also cannot stop a cooperative from returning to its real members, on a patronage basis, any money collected that is more than needed to cover the cooperative’s business costs.
