Title 15 › Chapter 73— EXPORT ENHANCEMENT › Subchapter III— EXPORT PROMOTION › § 4728a
The President must create a State and Federal Export Promotion Coordination Working Group (called the Working Group) as part of the Trade Promotion Coordination Committee (TPCC). The law also says the United States wants to boost exports for small businesses, and federal agencies must work with state and local groups that help promote or finance exports. The Working Group’s job is to spot coordination problems between federal and state/local export programs, find ways to improve coordination and cut down on duplicate efforts, and make plans to add its ideas into the strategic plan required under section 4727(c). The Secretary of Commerce chooses the members. They must include representatives from state trade agencies across different regions and officials from the departments and agencies on the TPCC chosen by their agency heads.
