Title 15 › Chapter 13A— FISHING INDUSTRY › § 521
People who fish, gather, or farm aquatic life can form groups or companies to work together to catch, grow, process, prepare, handle, and sell those products across state lines and to other countries. "Aquatic products" means commercial plants and animals from fresh or salt water in the States, the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, insular possessions, or other places under U.S. control. These groups can share marketing agencies and make contracts, but they must operate for members' benefit and either give each member only one vote or limit dividends to 8 percent per year, and they cannot deal in nonmembers' products worth more than what they handle for members.
