Summary

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) must enforce the rules in this subchapter under the Federal Trade Commission Act, except where section 5712 says otherwise. If something is outside the FTC Act’s jurisdiction, this law does not change that—unless it is needed to apply the subchapter. The FTC must stop people from breaking rules made under section 5711. It uses the same powers, procedures, penalties, and legal protections found in the Federal Trade Commission Act as if those parts were part of this subchapter.
