Title 15 › Chapter 15B— NATURAL GAS › § 717j
When two or more States ask Congress to approve an agreement about conserving, producing, moving, or delivering natural gas, the Commission must gather relevant facts, share them with the public, and report them to Congress. The Commission must also recommend any new laws or actions needed to help the agreement work and to protect and manage U.S. natural gas so production and delivery are fair, orderly, and economical. For agreements Congress has already approved or may approve later, the Commission must keep information up to date, publish it, and periodically report to Congress with recommendations. The Commission should use the help, records, and reports of federal departments and agencies when possible, and the President can direct those agencies to assist.
