Title 15 › Chapter 15D— ALASKA NATURAL GAS PIPELINE › § 720
Defines key words used for Alaska natural gas projects. Alaska natural gas means gas from the part of Alaska north of 64 degrees north latitude. Alaska natural gas transportation project means any pipeline system that carries that gas to the Alaska–Canada border, including related facilities, and that is authorized by the Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Act of 1976 or by section 720a. Alaska natural gas transportation system means the specific project the 1976 Act authorized and that is described in section 2 of the President’s decision. Commission means the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Federal Coordinator means the head of the Office of the Federal Coordinator for Alaska Natural Gas Transportation Projects created by section 720d(a). President’s decision means the report the President issued on September 22, 1977 under section 7 of the 1976 Act and approved by Public Law 95–158. Secretary means the Secretary of Energy. State means the State of Alaska.
