Title 15 › Chapter 101— NANOTECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT › § 7502
The President must create a National Nanotechnology Coordination Office with a Director and full-time staff. The office must support the Council and Advisory Panel, be the main contact for federal agencies, schools, industry, states, and citizens to share nanotech information, do public outreach and share Advisory Panel findings, and help federal agencies and U.S. industry (including startups) use new nanotech early. The office will be funded by interagency funds under section 631 of Public Law 108–7. Within 90 days after December 3, 2003, the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy must report to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House Committee on Science on how much funding is needed, whether funding methods are adequate, and steps taken to secure steady funding.
