Title 15 › Chapter 102— FAIRNESS TO CONTACT LENS CONSUMERS › § 7601
After a contact lens fitting, your eye care provider must give you a copy of your contact lens prescription, even if you don't ask. They must also send or confirm the prescription if someone you choose asks for it, by email or another method. The provider cannot make you buy lenses from them, charge extra beyond the exam/fitting fee, or force you to sign a waiver to get or verify the prescription.
