Within ninety days after taking office or being named to act as Administrator, the Administrator must send Congress a written report. The report must describe five things: how current petrochemical prices affect export levels now and what exports are expected in 1975; how current and expected 1975 export levels affect domestic raw materials and products now and in 1975; the current and expected 1975 role of imports in domestic supplies; the expected economic effects on domestic producers, converters, and fabricators; and the exact data and sources the federal government has and used for the report. Petrochemical — includes organic chemicals; cyclic intermediates; plastics and resins; synthetic fibers; elastomers; organic dyes and pigments; detergents and surface active agents; carbon black; and ammonia.
