§783 Hydroelectric Generating Facilities; Lists, Transmittal to Congress; Construction Schedule and Cost Estimates for Expedited Construction Program; Prospective Accomplishments From Expedited Completion of Facilities; Statement of Appropriated but Not Obligated Funds

Summary

Within ninety days of the effective date of this chapter, the Administrator of the Federal Energy Administration, working with the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of the Army, must send Congress two lists. One list must name hydroelectric generating facilities and electric power transmission facilities that Congress approved but that are not yet finished. The other list must show chances to increase the capacity of existing hydroelectric plants. For every facility on those lists, the Administrator must also give a fast-track construction schedule and cost estimates to put the facility into service as soon as possible, a description of what would be accomplished by finishing it quickly, and a statement of any money that has been appropriated but not yet obligated.
