Any contract term that makes someone give up the rights or protections under this law or its rules is not valid. Any contract that violates the law, whether made before or after now, or that requires carrying on an illegal practice, is not valid for the people who made or carried it out and for anyone who later got rights under it while knowing the facts that made it illegal.
