§9013 Community Navigator Pilot Program

Summary

The Small Business Administration must run a Community Navigator pilot program that gives grants or signs contracts with nonprofits, resource partners, States, Tribes, and local governments. Those partners will provide free outreach, education, and technical help to current or future owners of eligible small businesses so they can find and use COVID‑19 and other government assistance. Congress set aside $100,000,000 for the grants (available until September 30, 2022). The Administrator must also run a promotion effort that includes a phone hotline, outreach in the ten most common U.S. languages, a better website, and targeted advertising. Congress set aside $75,000,000 for that work (available until September 30, 2022). The power to make grants ends on December 31, 2025.
