Title 15 › Chapter 116— CORONAVIRUS ECONOMIC STABILIZATION (CARES ACT) › Subchapter II— UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE PROVISIONS › § 9030
Stops the 7-day waiting rule for Railroad Unemployment Insurance for registration periods that begin after March 27, 2020 and end on or before September 6, 2021. The Railroad Retirement Board may make rules to carry this out. $50,000,000 is provided from the Treasury to pay the extra benefits. When those funds are exhausted, the waiver ends for registration periods that begin after that date. "Registration period" keeps its usual meaning under the Railroad Unemployment Insurance law.
