§9551 Definitions

Defines key terms used in this subchapter. Appropriate congressional committees means the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation and the House Committee on Financial Services. Eligible entity means a minority‑serving institution or a group of colleges led by one. MBDA Rural Business Center means an MBDA Business Center that gives business help to minority firms in rural areas. MBDA Rural Business Center agreement means the agreement that sets how the federal award recipient will run such a center. Minority‑serving institution means an institution described in paragraphs (1) through (7) of section 1067q(a) of title 20. Rural area has the meaning in section 1991(a) of title 7. Rural minority business enterprise means a minority business located in a rural area.
