Title 15 › Chapter 121— FLOOD LEVEL OBSERVATION, OPERATIONS, AND DECISION SUPPORT › § 9706
The Administrator must check what short- and long-term data already exist about big freshwater floods flowing into oceans, bays, and estuaries. They must look for data on flow rate (discharge), conductivity, oxygen concentration, nutrient load, water temperature, and sediment load. The Administrator must figure out what more data are needed, make a list of those data needs, and use that list when planning new data collection for ecosystem-based models of the flooding and freshwater discharge.
